Use a Visoid plugin when your 3D model changes regularly and you want to send work directly from your design application—without repeatedly exporting intermediary files.

Level: Intermediate · Time: About 10 minutes, excluding installation
Prerequisite: Work with 3D models: direct upload or plugin and a supported version of SketchUp, Archicad, Revit or Rhino

A plugin can send two kinds of input. The distinction matters because each behaves differently in Visoid.
| Input | What arrives in Visoid | What you can do next |
|---|---|---|
| Full 3D model | A reusable, versioned 3D asset in your Visoid account | Add it to a 3D scene, compose cameras, use map placement and sunlight, save views, and render them |
| Current view or image | A fixed View in the selected Visoid project | Render or edit that composition, but you can’t move its camera or place it on the map as a 3D model |
Use the current installer options on the Add-ons page inside the Visoid app. You can also open it from the profile menu by selecting Add-ons.
