1. Understand how project collaboration works

Every project belongs to one workspace: Personal or a Team. The workspace determines which credits the project uses and whether it can be shared for collaboration.

Workspace Use it for Access and credits
Personal Private exploration, learning or work that is not connected to a company Team Uses your personal plan and credits. Projects remain private and cannot be shared with Team members.
Team Company work, handovers and projects that several people need to develop Uses the Team credit pool. Projects can remain private or be shared with selected members of that Team.

Team membership and project access are different.

Joining a Team lets someone work inside that Team, but it does not automatically reveal every Team project. Each project is shared only with the people who need it.

Start company work directly in the relevant Team whenever possible. You can switch between Personal and Team spaces from the workspace selector on the Projects page.

2. Share a Team project

Sharing gives selected Team members editor access to a complete project, including its Views, 3D scenes and generated content.

Cannot find someone? Confirm that they have already joined the same Team. To invite or manage Team members, continue with Set up and manage a team.

3. Work together inside a shared project

People with access work in the same project rather than creating disconnected copies.

Open the project’s menu and select Share whenever you need to review collaboration access.

Person What they can do
Project owner Edit the project, add Team collaborators and remove their access.
Collaborator Open and edit the shared project, add other existing members of the same Team, or leave the project.
Team member without project access Work elsewhere in the Team, but cannot open this project until it is shared with them.

Use project sharing when colleagues need to continue production, refine Views or take over work. The owner remains identified as Owner, and new Team members are not automatically added to projects shared earlier.

Agree who owns the project before a handover. Keep the people under Who has access aligned with the colleagues who actively need to work on it.
